  • 🏅 #5 on the Hot 10
  • 2nd appearance of Spider-Man
  • 1st meeting between Spider-Man and Fantastic Four
  • 1st appearance of Chameleon and J. Jonah Jameson
  • The year of the Spider will soon be upon us
  • Well, it’ll probably be way more than a year with the amount of projects Sony has in development, rumored to be up to 15 movies and TV series
  • Confirmed: Spider-Man 3 (2021), Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius, Into The Spider-Verse 2
  • Announced but status unknown: Jackpot, Kraven, Silk, Madame Web, Silver & Black (Silver Sable & Black Cat - conflicting reports if it's cancelled or not)
  • Rumored: Spider-Girls, Anya Corazon, Spider-Woman (Drews), Nightwatch, Solo, Man-Wolf, Miles Morales solo live-action movie (we're told it's already cast)
  • Did that say Solo? Yes, it did
  • But let's move passed the filler and get into THIS WEEK’S RECORD BREAKERS:
  • CGC 8.0 sold for $50k [previous high: $48k] +4%
  • CGC $3.5 sold for $8,450 [previous high: $7,300] +16%
  • BONUS INFO:
  • Amazing Fantasy #15 (1st Spider-Man) graded 5.5 sold for $72,000, this is $56,000 higher than the record-holder from July 2020 for $15,500
  • What? Why?! Is there a Ninja Turtle in it?
  • No, this special copy was signed by Stan Lee
  • So what...95% of every comic ever published was signed by Stan
  • It's also signed by Steve Ditko
  • Steve Ditko was the co-creator of Spider-Man and contributed critical aspects of the character's greatest attributes
  • Ditko penciled the interior of Amazing Fantasy #15 and the first 38 issues of The Amazing Spider-Man, creating some of Marvel's most iconic characters and co-plotting classic stories along with Stan
  • As an artist, he preferred his stories to stand on their their own and had no interest in being a public figure like Stan
  • He wasn't a recluse though as many believe yet autograph opportunities were rare and that's why this is a unique, historically significant collectible
  • Spider-Man would not be the same character we know today if it weren't for Stan and Steve's collaboration. To have both creator's signatures in the issue that introduced Spider-Man to the world is a massive article of pop culture history BUT you have to be okay just knowing that it's there unless you crack open the time capsule and flip to the first page

  • 3rd appearance of Kraven, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio and Sandman
  • What do we want? The Sinister Six! When do we want it? Like...15 years ago
  • Ok, this mantra might not be something that’s chanted aloud, in unison but it’s absolutely in the hearts of every Spider-Man fan worldwide
  • Recent rumors and confirmations have breathed new hope into the possibility of an onscreen Sinister Six assembly. Here’s a recap:
  • Sony announces a Kraven the Hunter movie with J.C. Chandor directing and Richard Wenk writing the screenplay
  • Mac Gargan AKA Scorpion, debuts in Spider-Man Homecoming (2017) not in-costume
  • October 2020 – THR reports Jamie Foxx is in talks to reprise the role of Electro in Spider-Man 3
  • December 2020 – Alfred Molina confirmed to reprise the role of Doc Ock
  • Speculation that Jacob Batalon who appeared as Ned Leeds in both Spider-Man movies will become the Hobgoblin as he did in the comics
  • Vulture and Mysterio already exist in the newest iteration of the Spider-Man Universe
  • Yes, that would make Sinister Seven but the point is, there are enough villains rumored, confirmed and already in existence for a Sinister Six team to become a reality
