  • 3.5 sold on Heritage for $3,840 [previous high: $2,129] +80%
  • 5.0 sold on ComicLink for $4,300 [previous high: $3,250] +32%
  • 5.5 sold for $4,580 on eBay [previous high: $3,500] +32%
  • 6.5 sold for $5,500 on eBay [previous high: $4,000] +38%
  • 7.0 sold for $6,540 on eBay [previous high: $5,050] +28%
  • 8.5 sold for $12,000 on eBay [previous high: $8,950] +34%
  • 9.6 sold for $102,000 on Heritage [previous high: $62,000] +65%
  • The 9.6 previous all-time high of $62k was in 2010. More recently a 9.6 sold for $36,500 in 2016 although there hasn’t been a recorded 9.6 sale until this week
  • CGC/CBCS report 27/3 copies graded 9.6 for a total of 30 unsigned copies which is a fairly high quantity for a book from 1964 but not so high as to excuse being insanely undervalued for years at $36k
  • Still, a 9.6 of Iron Man’s first appearance in Tales of Suspense historically sells for more than double this issue in 9.6 but there are far fewer 9.6s of Stark’s first appearance
  • There are only 2 copies of Daredevil #1 graded 9.8 but no recorded sales data
