Over the past 10 Tuesdays we analyzed the 10 highest Star Wars sales of the week. This week we're featuring the 10 highest Newsstand sales of the week and how they compare to Direct Edition comics. For comics published in the 70s, 80s and 90s, a substantial difference in value is ONLY seen in very high grade issues. Don't let anyone try to sell you a mid-grade Newsstand for higher than a mid-grade Direct. Newsstands (NEWSD) were sold in grocery stores, gas stations and bookstores, often alongside magazines and handled poorly. Direct Editions were (are) gently sold in comic shops.
