Captain Britain was created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Herb Trimpe, originally intended to be a British superhero to appeal to the UK market.

Early Years

Brian Braddock was a physics student who gained superhuman powers after a mystical encounter with Merlyn and his daughter, Roma. He became the protector of Britain and fought various villains.

Character Development

Over the years, Captain Britain has evolved from a solo hero to a key member of various superhero teams, grappling with his identity and responsibilities as a protector of both Britain and the multiverse.
