Mettle was created by writer Christos Gage and artist Mike McKone, first appearing in 'Avengers Academy' as part of a new generation of heroes.

Early Years

Kenji Uedo was a student at the Avengers Academy, where he learned to harness his abilities and navigate the challenges of being a young superhero.
