Despite living in relative safety above a skyliner high above the surface, genetically engineered trophy-wife Caryn Delacroix is haunted by nightmares of being hunted through the streets, of death, and of having her perfect, privileged life stripped away and replaced by another. However, Caryn's nightmares soon become reality as Maria DeMedici and Tommy Shirow detect a cloaked ship Earth-bound, and Caryn comes face-to-face with the monster from her dreams, uttering the name, "Ash Parnell."
