That is because Per Degaton has come from 1947 to take advantage of the outbreak of World War II. He has captured most of the Justice Society, except for Hawkman, Dr. Mid-Nite and The Atom; who, along with Plastic Man, Johnny Quick, Liberty Belle, and Robotman are dispatched to San Francisco as the All-Star Squadron!Navy ensign Rod Reilly alias Firebrand, and his buddy Slugger Dunn, are victims of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Nearby, Rod's sister Danette Reilly - a vulcanologist - and Sir Justin, The Shining Knight are the latest to be captured by Degaton.Soon, the newly formed All-Star Squadron will come face to face with Degaton!
