When Robert Crane is mortally wounded by some crooks who are trying to steal one of his creations, his assistant must implant Crane's brain in a robotic shell to save his life. Crane thus becomes Robotman and even though he has a hard time coming to terms with his new appearance he goes on a quest to clear his assistant's name and find his "killers".
