Shing's life-long friend and confidant, Sasha, is now a captive of the Children. Yet she uses her hostage situation as a way of learning more about the dark designs of Moukie and his mad lust for the power of the Arkanium scrolls. Sash uncovers the puzzle of the bizarre connection that links the destinies of Rowan, Shing, and Moukie while one member of the Children of the Damned makes his play for dominance.
