Synopsis
"The Cube Root!" Heavy Metal (Machine Man, Sentry 459, and Tess-One) lead by the Super-Adaptoid attack the Avengers' hydro-base. Heavy Metal keeps the Avengers busy while the Adaptoid taps into the Avengers' computer banks to learn about the Cosmic Cube. The Avengers learn that Machine Man was playing along to find out what the Adaptoid was up to. Unfortunately, the Adaptoid summons Kubik (the embodiment of the Cosmic Cube) and adapts his powers.
