Synopsis

BATMAN'S GREATEST FAILURE! During the filming of a movie in Gotham City, the leading actor is grotesquely disfigured in an accident while on set. Using his brutish assistant, aptly named Brutus, the actor starts a personal vendetta against the filmmaking crew and Commissioner Gordon assigns Batman as a personal protector for the possible victims.  Unfortunately, Batman seems to fail to prevent three murders plotted by the disfigured actor and Commissioner Gordon is forced to take him off the case. However, Batman continues his investigation and taking clues from every crime scene, he manages to locate the secret hideout of the former actor and his criminal associate. During the confrontation between Batman and Brutus, the place catches on fire and the actor dies in the fire. When the police arrive at the scene, Batman delivers Brutus to them and informs Commissioner Gordon that none of the actor's victims had been murdered because he prevented the actual murders and saved the victims, faking their deaths in order to collect evidence to capture the criminal. After the whole case is solved, Commissioner Gordon's faith in Batman is restored.
