Synopsis

RUINS Vicki Vale investigates an illegal trade of weapons between Cuba and Russia taking place in Guatemala and ends up captured by criminals and taken prisoner to one of the ruins in the jungle of the country. Inside, Vicki manages to write a note of help, which she tosses outside of the ruins, where it's picked by a tourist.   Back in Gotham City, Bruce Wayne and Jason Todd return to Wayne Manor and notice that Alfred is not home. Before they could investigate, Bruce is informed about Commissioner Gordon's critical condition. While visiting his friend, Bruce learns about the help note that Vicki Vale has sent and he decides to travel to Guatemala and rescue her. As this happens, Harvey Bullock apologizes to Gordon and feels true remorse for his actions.  Once in the jungle, Batman starts looking for the ruins and is confronted by a number of natives and animals of the place. Batman overcomes this obstacles and eventually reaches the ruins, where he has to fight several armed men. During this struggle, Batman falls into a trap-door inside the ruins, where he finds Vicki Vale held hostage by none other than the Joker.
