Phase two of Scarecrow's new gas took effect - Bruce envisioned a friend of Joe Chill's out to get him as a child. Batman awakened, hooked to his own devices in order to break the Scarecrow's hold over him.Silver told Evan about Bruce. She told him she'd stay by his side until the election was over, but her heart was not in it. When he was called back to the stage for an encore of his speech, Joker snatched her.
