Synopsis
This poignant episode, "Pity," deals with the complex relationships of compassion, honor, and revenge in the vicious landscape of Hiroaki Samura's modern, samurai-punk epic. Abayama, an older Ittö-ryü leader who has seen his share of death and violence, stumbles into a surprising predicament. After joining the surviving Ittö-ryü warriors on a quest for vengeance, a chance encounter leads him to a face-off with Makoto, the youngest Mugai- ryü conspirator and Abayama's former assistant.
