Our heroes make their last stop at the port city of Cartaduan to take a ship across the Niere into Krantal where they must steal the Myros Pendulum. But Stilian Desault's past is catching up with him. There's a price on his head and an assassin known only as The Count is aiming to collect. Meanwhile a familiar foe is out for revenge and on the prowl in the streets of the port city. Cartaduan's a great place to visit but the stay will kill you. Danger lurks around every corner and sharp ends and devil's deals must both be negotiated.
