Batroc's Brigade has captured Captain America's shield and has sold it to a scientist who is trying to recreate another one. Meanwhile Zaran taunts Batroc at a bar about never being able to defeat Captain America in battle.Zaran and Machete place a wager with Batroc. They will give up their take of the money earned for selling the shield to Batroc if he can defeat Captain America in a fight. Batroc accepts the wager and challenges Captain America to a one on one fight. Captain America defeats Batroc and lays him out. Zaran and Machete leave their fallen brigade member laying on the ground with no money.
