Synopsis

TEARS FOR FLUFFY The streets of Tricorner are packed with mourners as the coffin of Jamal "Fluffy" Meeks is carried down Van Buren Avenue. Police officers provide security under orders from Mayor Dickerson. Among the members of the procession for the former singer are celebrities, members of the Original Children, and a very interested man known as the Banner. Reporter Kirsten Royer notes the rumors that a drug gang was responsible for Fluffy's death.   At Gigo's Auto Repairs, Gigo and his associate congratulate themselves on secretly moving Fluffy's body so his death couldn't be traced back to them.  Mayor Dickerson makes a secret phone call to Detective Marchak. The mayor instructs Marchak to go to Fluffy's townhouse and remove a large envelope addressed to the mayor from a safe hidden behind a wall painting in the library. Dickerson then realizes how sensitive this conversation is and asks Marchak whether his phone is secure. Marchak assures him it is--it's the one in Commissioner Gordon's office.   Catwoman is listening in, and she smiles. She arrives at the penthouse, and after a brief fight with Marchak and his partner Belivell, Catwoman escapes with the envelope. Inside she finds photos and negatives, some including the mayor's wife Amanda, that she knows can be used to make Dickerson do anything she says.   At Fluffy's graveside, a firefight between the Banner, Detective Kelly and Detective Costas, the GCPD, and members of Fluffy's "honor guard" the Original Children breaks out, leaving five dead and nine wounded.   Marchak is reporting his failure to the mayor when Dickerson receives a call from Catwoman telling him to keep Gordon off her back or she'll go public with the photos. Angered, Dickerson turns to Marchak and orders him to get Catwoman.
