Synopsis

Because of the wounds gotten from the misadventures in the Temple of the Black Sun, Cerebus becomes delusional. He gets captured by the Conniptins, a nomadic tribe. Because of Cerebus' condition, they don't know what to do with him, except tie him up. Meanwhile, Captain Turl is scheming against the prince (who he can't kill, lest the wrath of the Prince's father and king Hezzreth befalls him). But Turl releases Cerebus and gives him his sword back so he can kill the three men that supposedly drugged Cerebus, who doesn't know this is merely a test. Cerebus kills the men, thus proving his might, so he is then asked to help the Captain take over Iest.
