In this issue we follow Daredevil to Japan in search of Bullseye after a fight the two had in a previous issue that involved the death of Elektra. The fight left Bullseye crippled and is sent to a Japanese scientist know as Lord Dark Wind that believes he can make Bullseye strong again by replacing his bone with metal (adamantium). Once in Japan Daredevil is aided by a Japanese woman revealed as Yuriko, the future Lady Deathstrike. Yuriko tells Daredevil about Dark Winds past as a kamikaze pilot that failed his mission. During the story we witness Daredevil having a mental connection with Bullseye.
