Synopsis

THE UNIVERSE Daredevil headlines this special, oversized issue celebrating both the 40th anniversary of the character AND the 5th anniversary of the groundbreaking Marvel Knights imprint! The Eisner-winning team of Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev invite some of the greatest comic artists who have never before drawn Daredevil to answer the question: How has the public revelation of Daredevil's secret identity affected the rest of the Marvel Universe? This once-in-a-lifetime gathering of super heroes and superstar talent includes Spider-Man, Captain America, The Punisher, Doctor Strange, Nick Fury, Elektra, and many more. Artists include Maleev and a band of stars including Chris Bachalo, Michael Golden, Greg Horn, Jae Lee, Mike Mayhew, Frank Quitely, and P. Craig Russell (at least)! 14 months ago: Murdock was outed by the Daily Globe in Daredevil (Vol. 2) #32. Urich and Parker denied it to Jameson in Daredevil (Vol. 2) #34. Daredevil and Spider-Man fought Mr Hyde in Daredevil (Vol. 2) #35. 12 months ago: Daredevil declared himself the new Kingpin in Daredevil (Vol. 2) #50. He met Parker, Cage, Richards and Strange in the park in Daredevil (Vol. 2) #56. Murdock has a flashback to Karen's death in Daredevil (Vol. 2) #5. All appearances are in flashback as only the last two pages of the story appear in current time; Greg Horn's pages are painted but all the rest are pen and ink; Pages 33-35 are one page pin-ups; The page count on the credits page is one page off as it counts itself as page 1 of the story.
