After last issue and the mess that radioative plant left in the Angel's Aerie, the New Defenders isn't able to stay there and decide to spend some time in San Francisco as a vacation. There they find Cutlass and Typhoo, two police investigators during a strange investigation on drugs smmuggling. After two suspicious deaths, some fights and a lot of mess, the Defenders and the couple succeds on arresting the bad guys and save the day. At the end a human shadow complains about the Defenders and swears to kill them all.
