A couple of thugs deliver a ransom note to Dr. Strange. The note indicated that Kyle Richmond (Nighthawk) has been kidnapped and being held in LA. While Wong dispatches the thugs, Dr. Strange summons Hulk and Valkyrie to help rescue Kyle. Kyle is being held by an ex-Maggia operative called Tapping Tommy. Tommy tapdances will he explains they he will kill Richmond once the ransom is paid. The Defenders attack the stronghold only to be captured with a Knockout bomb. The trapped Defenders are beaten by robots singing "We're in the Money!" before escaping and capturing Tommy.
