Synopsis

THE MENACE OF THE ATOMIC MAN Batman and Robin face the Atomic-Man, a criminal scientist that uses a special gadget with the power to transmute matter, who is on a revenge crusade against the four men who sent him to jail - his former business partners, and Batman. While on his personal vendetta, the criminal is often interrupted by the Dynamic Duo, until he decides to change the atomic structure of Batman's cowl in order to learn his secret identity. The Atomic-Man succeeds, but Batman had anticipated this situation and he has modified his face with make-up to prevent the thug from learning his secret identity. Batman then manages to capture the Atomic-Man and removes the special gadget that allows him to change the atomic structure of matter, ending his criminal spree for good. PROF. WETZEL’S MYSTERY RAY! BODYGUARD TO A BANDIT Biff Benson, a shady character, has been hired to deliberately get himself arrested and thrown into jail. To find out the reasons why, the police assign Det. John Jones to shadow him, warning that he will have to arrest Benson if he really does commit a crime. Using his Martian powers without being detected, J'onn J'onzz frustrates all of Benson's crime attempts until he finally learns, from Benson's half-conscious mumblings, that he has been hired by gangster Sam Spooner to get into jail so that he can kill the witness in prison who is to testify against Spooner. Jones has Captain Harding transfer the witness to a safe place, then brings in Benson, who is glad to go--but Jones tells Benson he won't be glad for long.
