Synopsis

FREAKOUT AT PHANTOM HOLLOW! In Phantom Hollow, Batman tries to unravel the mystery of a witch's curse that may be destroying the entire town. When a couple of hippy teenagers are attacked, Batman follows the clues from the attack to an abandoned church, where he is attacked on the belltower by a big man, who manages to escape. With help from the hippy kids and a lady, Batman tracks down the attacker to a cave, where they finally manage to stop the man, who turns out to be responsible for spreading the rumor of the witch's curse in town. SQUEEZE-PLAY! Batgirl has stumbled upon a plot by wig designer Vazly, using wigs that would crush the heads of his victims if they refused to pay him large sums of money to stop the crushings. Confronting them, Batgirl is caught off guard and has a wig slapped on her head, however, it's the one that was given to Barbara Gordon (Batgirl's alter ego) and Batgirl had already disarmed it. She manages to capture Vazyl, but his assistant Wanda manages to escape.  Tracing her to her next potential victim, she manages to defeat Wanda and turn her over to the police. Later, as Barbara Gordon, Babs shows off her new wig to her father and Bruce Wayne, who tells her he prefers her natural red hair.
