Eight Billion Genies

Synopsis

Eight Billion Genies is a graphic novel by Chicago artist-designer Ryan Browne and New York-based writer Charles Soule that follows eight characters who find themselves in a Michigan bar as magical genies grant every person on Earth one wish simultaneously: The story is a mix of action, drama, and comedy that explores how the world is transformed forever after the wishes are granted. Some characters' wishes go well, while others go poorly. For example, one character's father wishes for battle armor to survive the apocalypse and ends up fighting vampires and dinosaurs in a wasteland. Another character wishes to be a superhero and is drafted into a superhero league, but things don't go well for him. The characters must decide whether to use their wishes immediately or save them for later.
