Synopsis
Last issue Vortex and Ratman were stranded out in the woods. They manage to rejoin the rest of the party and Ambrose returns them to their dimension for a price. Once back, Porter Scott starts to arrest Ratman but Vortex argues on his behalf. Ratman took care of Vortex while he lay unconscious in the other dimension and fended off patrols that might have kept him from healing, even though Vortex beat the heck out of him shortly before. Porter gets frustrated and leaves it up to the team to sort it out. On their way back home, the Elementals airplane ride is forced to crash by Exodus 10:21. The Elementals make it safely to the ground, and engage The Rapture. In Philadelphia, the new Police Commissioner visits the city morgue and unwittingly releases Captain Cadaver by removing the stake in his skeleton which was keeping his body from reforming.
