Chief Bearclaw led the tribe's hunters out to hunt this thing down. After tracking it for some time (perhaps days?) they encountered a giant magic-warped serpent/cat that hate-sends and has its own name: Madcoil. Half of the tribe is killed by this abomination, including Treestump's sister/Bearclaw's mate/Cutter's mother: Joyleaf
