Synopsis
While stranded on Bornhome, Langer gets close to a few of the planet's residents-some pleasant, like orphaned child Timi, and some terrifying, like the wraithish beasts called Kind Souls who wander the abandoned fairgrounds looking to kill. The most intriguing person he meets is Shane, a mysterious woman looking after Timi and a large group of abandoned kids. But unbeknownst to them, one of the pirates from the space battle-Langer's longtime nemesis, Tash-has also crashed on Bornhome, and has his own self-serving motivations...
