Synopsis

THE STRENGHT OF THE SUB-MARINER Within the Baxter Building, the Thing suffers from the flu. As he resists Crystal and Johnny's efforts to try and feed him cough medicine, he sneezes causing the room to heavily shake. Reed comes in and scolds them for creating noise that might wake baby Franklin. He then tells them that, as soon as the weather clears, he and Sue will be taking Franklin to see his nanny Agatha Harkness.   Meanwhile, deep at sea, the Sub-Mariner is aboard an Atlantean vessel when the crew detects an earthquake, so they go to investigate it. Namor flies to the surface and finds an island filled with dinosaurs as well as the unconscious body of the mutant terrorist Magneto. Namor recovers Magneto's body.   Back in New York, the storm has cleared, leading to Johnny playing a prank on the Thing and some subsequent rough housing. This is quickly ended when the Thing spots a number of metal objects rising into the sky. Unknown to all, this is caused by Magneto, who is secretly causing trouble with his powers. He soon takes audience with the Sub-Mariner and tries to convince him to go to war with the surface world, but Namor does not budge on the situation. In the city, Reed uses a device to track the source of the magnetic energies and traces them back to Atlantis. As they decide what to do, they are suddenly attacked by various devices within the Baxter Building under Magneto's control.   Upset by this sudden attack, the Thing unthinkingly unleashes some sonic wave missiles at the city of Atlantis in retaliation. Namor saves as many of his people as he can, and he is later informed by Magneto that the attack came from the surface world. The Master of Magnetism then convinces Namor to lead his people into war with the surface after the prince later stops a concussion torpedo from striking his kingdom as well.   As Reed scolds Ben for acting so rashly, they soon detect a fleet of Atlantean ships heading towards the US coast just as the vibro-alarm begins to go off, signaling a coming war with Atlantis.
