Flash #135

Synopsis

The Scarlet Speedster and his sidekick Kid Flash have to deal with an entire invasion fleet from the 16th dimension! In this tailor made tale by John Broome and Carmine Infantino, Kid Flash got a new look. The story followed Kid Flash as he alerted his mentor of motion, Barry Allen to super weapons sent by Ryla of Korydon, who was trying to stave off the Makryds' invasion of Earth. While the Flash inspected one of the weapons, a "mind over matter" device, the unit projected the designs he contemplated for a new Kid Flash costume onto his protege. A radical departure from the Scarlet Speedster's suit, Kid Flash's new Yellow and red look made him instantly more recognizable to fans, even as the two now distinct Flashes worked in unison to rescue Earth and Ryla's dimension from Makryds.
