Synopsis

Emma Frost, Paige Guthrie, Monet St. Croix and Jubilee Lee spend Christmas Eve in M’s Monaco home. Throughout the evening, they bond whilst telling each other previously untold stories of the first manifestation of their powers.  Jubilee had been shoplifting at a mall, but when cornered by the police, she set off her fireworks to cover her escape. M fabricates a tale in which her family were thrilled to witness her powers.  As she finishes, Emplate's astral form appears and puts the others in stasis, while he begs Monet to free him from the dimension in which he is trapped.  She refuses and he fades away. Paige relates how, once her brother, Sam, exhibited his powers, she wished and prayed she, too, would be a mutant.  After some time, she got what she wanted. Emma, committed to an asylum by her parents, discovered her ability to control others there, and used her powers, first to escape, then later, to build her financial empire. Back at Xavier's School, Black Tom Cassidy meets with Mondo and prepares to make his move.
