This was the first issue that revealed Gaspar Saladino's new logo. Carmine Infantino, DC's editor-in-chief, put him in charge of making the Green Lantern logo fresher and more streamlined. Saladino's new design was based on the logo found on the covers of the original Green Lantern series.
