Green Lantern / Flash: Faster Friends #2
Synopsis
Jay Garrick- the original Flash- is dying from a hypermetabolism disease and will be dead in a day. Flash (Wally West), Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Sentinel (Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern), and Jay have defeated Alien X, and old foe of Alan and Jay. Alien X opens up portals on earth to let alien creatures devour the earth. At Alien X's ship, a portal opens to the alien's homeworld and Flash and Lantern leap through followed by Jay and Alan. Flash and Green Lantern find that they have switched costumes going through the portal, but the mess is soon sorted out and the four heroes confront the alien swarm's mother. The heroes fight the alien swarm and the dying Jay convinces the alien mother not to do what she's doing, and the mother leaves, but makes four portals for the heroes to return home. Alan and Jay leap through the same portal, hoping that Alan's health and magic energy will mingle with Jay to cure him. The four heroes end up back on earth where Jay and Alan are both given clean bills of health. Jay tells Wally and Kyle that Flashes and Green Lanterns are meant to be friends, and they'll figure it out soon.
