The madness intensifies, and God seethes with rage as the Devil--and Orion Assante-- inch closer to their separate but shared goal of disemboweling the Catholic Church. With Easter Sunday's big broadcast just one week away, an uninvited (and unhinged!) guest of the congregation begins sabotaging the Holy Week ceremonies, while the infuriated Pope desperately struggles to maintain control of his empire. Meanwhile, outlawed exile Assante goes to the heart of the matter--the new church tower itself--to try to decipher the secret purpose behind its construction.
