Synopsis

OUT BACK AND BACK IN BEVERLY HILLS Infinity, Inc. and Betty Clawman, together with a recovered Dan Richards, visit Molly Scott in her hospital room, as she recuperates from the broken arm and fractured leg she sustained in the car crash caused by Marcie Cooper, the new Harlequin. Then a contingent consisting of Nuklon, Wildcat, Hour-Man, and Mr. Bones flies Betty back to her native Australia in the Star-Rocket Racer.  Arriving in the Outback, they stop at a tavern suggested by Wildcat, where they meet the Tasmanian Devil, the Australian member of the Global Guardians, whom Wildcat has arranged to have accompany them. The super-heroes soon meet Betty's aboriginal tribe, who are impressed with the colorful costumes and powers of the male heroes, but who all but ignore Wildcat.   Excluded from witnessing one of the tribe's secret ceremonies, which are for men only, Wildcat passes the time by touring the caves inside nearby Ayers Rock. Suddenly, the bizarre paintings on the cave walls seem to come alive and menace Wildcat, until Betty appears and causes them to recede and seemingly become mere paintings again. For all her former boredom with their errand, Wildcat is visibly impressed with this experience, and when the men return, the Infinity members depart.   Back in Los Angeles, a retiring Todd Rice is approached by his sister Jennie-Lynn, who quickly proves to be Marcie Cooper in one of her illusion-disguises. A battle erupts between Obsidian and the Harlequin, who has escaped the other super-heroes' final battle with the remaining Manhunters. The real Jade joins the fight, but Marcie prevails and is about to kill the twins when Dan Richards enters, armed with a handgun. The Harlequin tricks her grandfather with another illusion, and is about to shoot him with his own weapon when Jade recovers and tries to stop her. As a result, Marcie's shot goes slightly astray, only wounding Richards. Marcie herself falls, striking her head, and is knocked out, while Richards smashes the Harlequin glasses before blacking out.
