Justice League of America: Year One A fun series that focuses primarily on the interplay of the personalities of the League members. After individually defeating a different alien threat, known collectively as the Appellax, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Flash (Barry Allen), Black Canary (Dinah Lance), and Aquaman each consider the potentials of forming and working as a team. While meeting to confront the final Appellax, Black Canary teaches Barry some techniques from the Golden Age Flash, while Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman realize the power of their combined strength and ability to compensate for each other's weakness. Meanwhile Locus, the militarized group connected to the Appellax, also realizes the ramifications of facing a unified team of heroes.
