Josie (and the Pussycats) #34 (1968)
Josie (and the Pussycats) #34 is an issue of the Josie (and the Pussycats) series from Archie, released June 1, 1968. Featuring artwork by Dan DeCarlo. This page represents the regular first-print edition.
Albert gets an old book of songs written by "Samantha Spellbinder," a witch from Salem, Massachusetts. Whenever he plays her way-out chords on his guitar, the magic of the music causes anyone within earshot to fall in love -- but only with inanimate objects like trees, rocks, and mailboxes. Only Melody is unaffected by the spell, because she already loves everything and everyone. And it's up to Melody to show everyone that true love is for people, not for things.
