Synopsis

"Another Fine Mess!" The JLE regroup at their Paris embassy to discuss recent events. Captain Atom wants to know why members of the Global Guardians have seemingly gone bad. Confounding the issue is the omnipresent mystery of why flocks of Parisians took it upon themselves to storm the embassy, then stopped, awakening as if from a dream. After the meeting, Power Girl, Elongated Man and the Flash decide to visit the Global Guardians' old headquarters - the Dome. The Dome is now a museum honoring the former heroes. The three League members go to the museum in civilian attire and without the consent of their leader Captain Atom. From within a secret chamber inside the Dome, the brainwashed former Guardians known as the Jack O'Lantern and Owlwoman monitor the public areas. They immediately recognize the three undercover heroes and use the mind-control techniques available to them to turn the civilian visitors into mindless drones. As Power Girl, Elongated Man and Flash try to assess the situation, the Jack O'Lantern makes his move. He has the element of surprise and is able to use his mystic lantern to get the drop on Elongated Man and Flash. Power Girl fights back, but the Jack O'Lantern manages to get away. Power Girl brings Ralph and Wally's unconscious bodies outside. Captain Atom, having now heard of their unauthorized trip, arrives and admonishes Power Girl for her involvement in the incident. Kara criticizes Atom for his lack of leadership skills, to which he sarcastically replies, "Next time why don't you just decide to blow up the whole damn building!" As if on cue, the Dome explodes.
