Synopsis

"Break Downs Part 12 - Blood-Dimmed Tide" Justice League Europe, the Conglomerate, Lobo and the Silver Sorceress all attack Despero en masse. Despero keeps his attackers at bay with the deadly energy blasts projected from his third eye. When things are at their most bleak, Kilowog and L-Ron come in to save the day. Kilowog attempts to upgrade Despero's control collar using L-Ron's circuitry with unexpected results. Rather than shutting down Despero's brain, the control box actually uploads L-Ron's consciousness into the villains' head. Despero's primal hatred subsides, replaced with L-Ron's calculated personality. Afterwards, Lord Manga Khan arrives on Earth to retrieve Despero. He is actually quite pleased with the end results, for now he has not only Despero, but also his old servant robot L-Ron. Manga Khan pays Lobo his fee for his part in bringing Despero down and offers to finance the reconstruction of Times Square. Later, at JLE HQ, Martian Manhunter discusses the recent Maxwell Lord situation with Catherine Cobert. The Silver Sorceress enters the room and tells the Manhunter that Max Lord is now under the mental control of Dreamslayer of the Extremists. On Kooey Kooey Kooey, Maxwell Lord/Dreamslayer issues an open challenge to the JLE to come after him. He has brainwashed all of the natives on the island to serve as his soldiers in the coming battle.
