The majority of the Legion of Super-Heroes attend the baptism of Lightning Lad's and Saturn Girl's child. The five newest recruits are stationed at the headquarters to take care of monitor duty and they are called in to investigate an explosion in a nearby park. The new Legionnaires are able to defeat the guilty perpetrators and a group of Science Police officers arrive but act very strangely. Tellus learns that they have no short term memory, so the mystery goes unsolved as to who is behind the attacks.
