The Luck Lords assist Mekt Ranzz, the Lightning Lord, to escape from incarceration and he goes in search of his younger brother, Lightning Lad. Meanwhile, the Luck Lord goes over the past of the Ranzz siblings, including Lightning Lass, and how they came to gain their wondrous abilities as well as other key moments of their lives. Lightning Lord and Lightning Lad meet in one cataclysmic confrontation, with Lightning Lad emerging as the victor, placing his mad brother back into custody in a psychological ward.
