Synopsis

"Noble Blood" The issue opens with Javen reminiscing with his old friend Majestic. He then reveals that he was sent to Earth to secure the AI seed for the Shapers Guild on Khera while also repeating the revelations about the Kherubim not originally being from Khera. The AI seed on Earth is important because the one on Khera is inactive and various factions within the Pantheon seek to control the AI see as a weapon. Instead the Shapers Guild wishes to control the seed so that they continue to shape the destiny of the Kherubim race and prevent such a powerful bargaining chip from destabilizing the balance of power on Khera. It also turns out that the Skein assassins sent to kill Majestic were sent by one of the Pantheon's factions and will target others on Earth, including Zealot's sister Savant. To prevent this, Javen sends two shapers with Zealot to get Savant to safety, while he and Majestic contact Spartan a.k.a. Jack Marlowe at the Halo Building. Meanwhile, members of the Skein monitor the actions of Majestic and his friends. Their 'priestess' and mysterious leader decide to make contact with Zealot and Savant before the Shaper's Guild can do anything about it. Spartan, Majestic, and Javen discuss the AI seed and what to do about Khera. In the Swiss Alps, Savant is snowboarding when Zealot finds her. The Shapers react as if they are going to attack but before they can, the Skein's mysterious leader appears and kills both of them. He then introduces himself to Zealot and Savant as Imperator, of the Noble Kherubim House of Khull. Back at Halo, Javen reveals that the Shapers Guild wishes to stabilize Khera by establishing a new government led by an untainted Kherubim monarch. Their choice for the throne is Majestic.
