Fearing the worst, Oberon enters a mine shaft in search of his friend, Mister Miracle. Seconds later, Mister Miracle comes barreling out, grabbing up Oberon, with the blast wave of a powerful explosion nipping at their heels. Mister Miracle quickly collects his Mother Box, then communes with the entity inhabiting his technology. Mother Box severs her connection to Mister Miracle, while simultaneously unlocking his birthright. Holding onto Oberon, Mister Miracle launches himself into orbit, en route to Earth's Moon. On the dark side of the Moon. Granny Goodness continues her efforts to brainwash Big Barda. Doctor Bedlam empties his consciousness into one of his Animates, altering it's appearance to appear as Mister Miracle. Doctor Bedlam attacks Big Barda, who believes him to be her husband, intent on murdering her. The real MIster Miracle arrives, and beats down his double. With Doctor Bedlam defeated, Virman Vundabar and Kanto move in to subdue Mister Miracle, with no better results than Doctor Bedlam. As Mister Miracle delivers one final blow on Kanto, he is struck by Big Barda, who still sees him as her enemy. Big Barda runs off, leaving an unconscious Mister Miracle to the tender mercies of Granny Goodness, Doctor Bedlam, Virman Vundabar, and Kanto.Mister Miracle awakens to find each of his arms bound to a missile. With each missile aimed in opposite directions, and set to launch in sixty seconds, Mister Miracle is a mere minute away from being torn asunder. Mister Miracle slips a dyno-mite bomb out of his glove, then lobs it at the chains holding his left arm. Granny Goodness launches the missiles, unable to see, through the rocket exhaust, that Mister Miracle is only attached to one of them. Mister Miracle rides the missile to it's destination. Landing unhurt, he frees himself from the chains, then doubles back to rendezvous with Oberon. Mister Miracle has Oberon don an air-plume suit, so that he may join Mister Miracle, outside on the Moon's surface, in the search...
