The Mortal Kombat Malibu comic series was a short lived multi-arc comic line released in the mid-nineties at the height of the game series popularity. While adapting part of the game's story in several issues, Malibu was given freedoms and liberties to develops their own stories and the characters in different directions from their in-game counterparts.
