Synopsis

The Kree Supreme Intelligence sends Ronan the Accuser to capture Carol, seeing her as an ideal vessel to jump start Kree evolution. The ensuing battle between Carol and Ronan alerts Mar-Vell, who shows up to help, but is surprised to see a female superhero (Carol) dressed in a costume based on his. Mar-Vell realizes it's Carol, but Ronan captures the two of them and brings them on board his ship where he and the Supreme Intelligence probe Carol's mind and reveal their plan to make her the start of a new advanced race of Kree. Carol's dual nature resulting from the Psyche Magnitron enables her to resist having her brain wiped and she and Mar-Vell break free and escape to Earth. Carol and Mar-Vell share a slightly awkward kiss for old times' sake and vow to remain friends.
