Registered mutant 2099, Chad Channing, is a mild-mannered high school student at Baxter High. He takes his mutant gene suppression pills every morning and his parents couldn't be more proud of him. With the mutant threat neutralized the world is a safer place, crime is down, a Sentinel is on every corner, and life is pretty much perfect. But all that changes when Chad finds a secret basement located under the Baxter Building that houses the living brain of rebel leader Reed Richards.
