Jonathan and Martha Kent are in Smallville discussing Johnathan’s bid for city council with Mal Davis. Superboy reveals that Sunburst informed him his parents are being held by criminals. Superboy rescues Sunburst’s parents and learns the true origin of his powers. The back-up story is Dial “H” for Hero, “The Master’s Plan!”
