Synopsis

WHEELS Nightwing tries to stop a truck hijacking, but gets thrown off the escaping truck and, thus, finally decides to get himself a car. He visits Whaler's Bank to take a look at the balance from the trust fund account Bruce told him about recently. Obviously, Lucius Fox did a great job investing the money, because Dick can hardly believe how high the balance is.   Meanwhile, Inspector Soames awakens from the coma in a special rehab unit of the Drexel Labs. His neck is still twisted 180 degrees and he cannot believe they did not just let him die.  Dick immediately uses his new fortune to rent an old car shop in which he begins to assemble his own car. During a break he chats intimately with Oracle. They talk about Dick's relationship with Batman and about Barbara's days as Batgirl.   In the evening, Tad Ryerstad approaches John Law, an old man who in his younger days was known as the superhero called Tarantula. Tad is a big fan and Mr. Law willingly takes Tad into his apartment to show him some superhero memorabilia. Tad has a rather extreme opinion what a modern superhero should be about and Mr. Law is relieved when Tad finally leaves his apartment.   Thanks to Bridget Clancy, Nightwing is able to follow a trail to the truck hijackers. With his new car it becomes much easier for Dick to follow and to stop the criminals before the police arrives. Overall he feels pretty good about how things have developed in Blüdhaven...
