Synopsis
Extreme fights the combined might of the Protectors and the Ex-Mutants; One of the Ex-Mutants, Shannon, arises from a coma and is imbued with massive powers; She is able to fight Extreme to a standstill while Night Mask finds a device to teleport Extreme and his minions back to his dimension; After the battle, a government liaison informs the two super teams that there will a change in their future, with Gravestone and Arc joining the Ex-Mutants and Tanya and Piper joining the Protectors; If that wasn't enough, Philip Reinhart is forced to introduce Chalice, the Protector's new mandated leader.
