When Mysterio breaks out of prison, his first thought is to attack the Daily Bugle in the hope that he can force a confrontation with Spider-Man. He gets his wish and the two begin to battle when The Chief Examiner steps in. Spider-Man initially mistakes the mysterious alien for yet another of Mysterio's tricks but things change quickly when Spider-Man is transported through The Examiner's scanning door.
